A Chinese girl has thousands of suitors to choose from after posting a message that she was looking for romance.

Zhang Mengqian, like other female students at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, was handed out a blank card to be filled with her wish.

The effort was made after the university, with the ratio of male and female students as 25:1, declared March 7 and 8 as girls' day, the Telegraph reported.

Mengqian wrote those interested could come to her room on a certain day at a certain time and shout out her name.

Her message was posted onto a special "wish wall", which triggered an overwhelming response, including a mass gathering at her dormitory building. (ANI)
