A girl has who was a dishwasher at her parents' takeaway restaurant in Cambridge has become a singing sensation in China after selling 100 million records.

Ayi Jihu, 25, has performed to more than 1.6 million fans at gigs.

And her raunchy videos have earned her the nickname "Chinese Madonna".

Ayi - 13 when her family moved to the UK from Leibo, Southern China - was discovered as an extra in a rap video.

She was signed by a London label and has since sold 100million download copies of her debut album 'Try Me'.

Her promos are so provocative they have upset the Chinese government.

"I'm sexy, provocative and raunchy," the Sun quoted Ayi as saying.

"There's a lot of things the Chinese government don't like about it. I haven't had a problem yet but I know it will come sooner or later," Ayi added.

Her first UK single is out later this month. (ANI)
