    Australia crush India by 298 runs in Adelaide Test, complete 4-0 whitewash

    India on Saturday slumped to their second successive overseas series whitewash after losing the fourth and final Test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval here by a humiliating 298 runs.

    Chasing 500 for a win, India were bundled out for 201 runs in 69.4 overs in their second innings.Australia won the Test series 4-0 after having scored comprehensive wins in the previous three games.

    Saturday's defeat was India's eighth straight overseas defeat. It had earlier lost four nil to England in England last year.

    Resuming at 166 for six, the Indians lasted almost an hour and 13-odd overs during, which they added 35 runs before being bowled out for 201.

    The two overnight batsmen Ishant Sharma (2) and Wriddhiman Saha (3) were removed in the first three overs of the day.

    Ishant was caught behind of the bowling of Ryan Harris, while Saha was caught by Haddin off Peter Siddle.

    Zaheer batted for 18 balls to score 15 runs with the help of four boundaries. He was caught by David Warner of the bowling of Ben Hilfenhaus.

    Umesh Yadav was caught behind offf Nathan Lyon.

    Ravichandran Ashwin remained unbeaten on 15.

    Lyon claimed four wickets for 63, while Harris picked up three for 41. (ANI)
